The Crozet Volunteer Fire Department depends on community members to volunteer their time to fulfill the mission of the department. As such, we are always seeking new members. There are three membership categories:
- Active – members 18 years of age or older
- Junior – members between 16 and 18 years of age
- Associate – non-operational (firefighter)
The skills you will learn as a volunteer firefighter are invaluable.
Volunteering is one of the best ways to make a difference personally while having a positive impact on the lives of those in your community. The CVFD needs more volunteer firefighters.
For more information about Active or Junior membership, please email: crozetfirerecruiting@gmail.com and a member of our Recruitment & Retention Committee will contact you.
To apply, please visit this link and complete the required fields on the interest forms. After we receive the interest form, you will be contacted by a member of our recruiting team. After speaking with a recruiter, you will be emailed an application, along with a criminal history background check form to complete. Applicants will be encouraged to visit various duty crews 6P-10P, Monday through Friday and ride along and meet the members.
Are you interested in volunteering your time or talents to help the station and its firefighters?
We are looking for volunteers to help with IT support, social media coordinator, fundraising events, planning community engagement activities, & supporting firefighters and their families.
If you want to help, we’ll find a way to use your talents!
